Full Moon Release August 2012

There will be two full moons this month–August 1 and August 31.  For those of you who aren’t aware, the time of the full moon is the time to release those things that are holding you back and (hopefully) gently allow in those things that will better serve us in our lives.  When there are two full moons within one month, as happens occasionally due to the 13 moons in the year and the 12 calendar months, this energy is amplified.

There are several ways to release.  It is best to do these things either on the day of the full moon or within a day or so before or after when the energies are strongest.

  1. Determine what you want to release.  This can be unhealthy attachments to people, places, things, past events, and emotional connections that are draining you.
  2. Honor your resistance.  You are attached to these things for a reason.  They give you comfort.  You might not WANT to give them up, but you know it is best for you.  So as to honor your truest self, you decide to release these things to allow yourself to move forward.
  3. Write them down.  Make a list.  Make it concrete on paper so you can see it in black and white.  This is a true radical acceptance of those things that you feel you can’t change and want to give up to the divine for transmutation.
  4. Destroy the paper.  I know that sounds rather drastic, but since the paper is a symbolic representation of those things you wish to release, you need to thoroughly destroy the paper.  There are several ways to do this.  You can tear up the paper.  You can shred the paper.  You can “drown” the paper in a bowl of water or flush it down the toilet after tearing it up into small pieces.  Or you can burn it in a fireproof container.  I prefer to burn it and usually do this in my metal singing bowl.  This reminds me of the way in which native peoples burned herbs to carry their prayers up to Heaven.  I feel that it serves the same purpose.
  5. Repeat the ceremony at the next full moon.

The time of the Full Moon is an emotional time for us all.  Performing this exercise may lead to emotional outbursts and crying.  It is best to do it either when you are alone or in a circle of close supportive friends who will all be participating.  You want to be gentle with yourself while at the same time remaining strong and committed to making positive changes in your life.  And so it is.

The Road to Success Day 52

I have learned not to judge others, especially not by my standards.  I know that everyone comes from a different background and has different knowledge, as as a result may not understand the ramifications of their words and actions.  I accept them and do not attempt to change them because everyone is on their own path and moving at their own pace.  It is not for other people to accept me and recognize my worth.  Some will and some won’t.  I refuse to hold it against them.

With an inner knowing that no one can take away, I know I have inestimable worth.  My light and love for all humainty and the Earth are an inspiration to all.  It is not an affectation but a true expression of all that I am in action in the world.  My smile brings joy to the hearts of those I encounter, and I know that I am on the unending Path of Success.

Abundance comes when you least expect it (Part 2)

I know it’s been a long time coming, but here’s the second part of the story. . . .

I went to the Numis Network Convention in Tampa, Florida. While there, I met literally everyone in the company and just felt better and better about the decision I had made to join them and be at this event. I felt a spiritual kinship with those who were in attendance and knew I needed to be there. The lectures were informative and inspiring. I felt as if it raised my vibration just to be there in their presence.

I was around the most successful and high-performing people and had a ride in Burke Hedge’s Numis BMW!

I had the earliest flight back–5 a.m.!–and was amazed to see an email asking me to participate in a phone interview for an engineering job.  I had been looking for a job for nine months with no success, and the second I decided to go out on a limb and try something different it opened me up to more possibilities.  I felt excited from the trip and empowered by the people and event I had encountered at the beautiful hotel that backed onto a Tampa Bay nature preserve.

The day after I got back, I had the phone interview which went very well.  I was told during the call that I would be invited to an in-person interview later in the week.  The interview went so well, that I was invited to work for them and started the next Monday.  I was able to manifest a position that would pay my minimum bills while allowing me time to build my business in my spare time.

The people who are in Numis because of me have become very successful.  Is it time to pick up the momentum and join them?  Maybe.  Is it time to get more skills and training?  Definitely.  I’m at the edge of the abyss, waiting to see what is coming, what is next.  I just know that it is ready to be born into reality.

What Motivates You?

This is a question I’ve been asking myself lately.  Why am I doing the things I’m doing?  Is it purely by rote?  I’ve begun to realize that motivation is a very important aspect of anything we put out in the world.  We all know that we need to have money to survive, but what do you do to make that money?  How do you feel about what you do for money?  Does it empower you?

This feels like Twenty Questions, but it’s worth thinking about.  It’s one thing when you go to work for a paycheck, but what about when you are working for yourself?  Do you just sell or do or say things because you think those are the things people want to hear about or buy?  That could just be leading you into self-sabotage.  You can’t be everything for everybody, so the least you can do is be true to yourself and your needs.

I read something today that I believe bears repeating.  It was that all websites should be useful.  What exactly does that mean?  I believe it means that you shouldn’t just have a website to tell people every single thing you can do for them.  You need to consider others before yourself.

It all comes down to our beliefs about ourselves.  Do you believe that you are worthy?  Do you believe that whatever product or service you are selling will provide value to your clients?  Or are you only out to make a buck at whatever cost?  If that is the case, it will not work.  You may become frustrated and wonder why things aren’t picking up for you financially.  You might ask:  Where’s the abundance I’ve heard so much about?

The answer is that abundance is all around you.  You should give because you want to, not because you think that someone will give you something of equal or greater value in return.  They may not give you anything in return, but if you are feeling guided to give, do it.  Hesitation will not get you where you want to go.  You need to remain open to everything in all of creation.  You can give in one place and receive from somewhere else.  There is no law that says that everything needs to be an equal exchange.  Don’t be hard on yourself if you feel like you’re giving and not receiving.  And this doesn’t apply to relationships in which one person gives their all and the other gives nothing.  That implies a certain disrespect.  Here, I am talking more in terms of money and financial abundance.

Let Love motivate you.  Don’t be guided by competition.  Do you even know who your competition is?  Probably not who you think it is.  If everything you do is guided by love, there is no miscalculation.  Try to help others.  Provide a useful product or service.  Base this on what will most help others, and in turn, you will help yourself.  You will feel better about yourself in all aspects of your life.
